Why
a Corrections Summit?
Corrections
is a noble profession, playing a
vital role in the criminal justice system. We help
protect our communities through the incarceration of
offenders, and the supervision of probationers and
parolees. But Corrections work is stressful, often
resulting in Corrections Fatigue, a term coined by
Dr. Caterina Spinaris Tudor (a featured speaker at
the Summit) to describe the cumulative effects of a
corrections career not only on staff, but on their
families as well. Corrections
Staff, and their spouses and families need
encouragement and support.
Summit
